Vanni & Band’s music is amazingly impressive and admirably original.
The soloist’s deep, honeyed tone and the band’s great collaboration make for a stirring experience. The lyrics are cleverly played with and genres are unashamedly crossed. Influences are taken from hip hop, soul and acid jazz. At Yläkaupungin Yö, Vanni is joined by drums, keyboards, guitar, double bass, cello and a brass player with saxophone and flute.
